Cyprus Minister of Agriculture confirms participation in Global Fishery Forum in St. Petersburg

Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Environment of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Kougialis has confirmed he will take part in the first Global Fishery Forum and Exhibition for Fishery, Seafood and Knowhow in St. Petersburg.

This marks the first time that Russia will host professionals from the global fish industry and representatives of agencies from leading global fishing powers. “We expect that the event will be interesting primarily due to the current and fundamental agenda. The Forum plans to address several important topics – the challenges that define the future of fisheries and aquaculture in the world. One of our tasks is to create a communication platform on which representatives of the government, fishery companies, enterprises of related industries as well as the scientific and expert communities will meet. We are receiving active responses to invitations from our foreign colleagues who have confirmed their participation and interest”, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and Director of the Federal Fisheries Agency Ilya Shestakov noted.

The Global Fishery Forum & International Exhibition for Fishery, Seafood and Knowhow will take place on September 14–16, 2017 in St. Petersburg at the Lenexpo Exhibition Centre.
